V1
The Statistics module allows you to generate reports that will show you the usage statistics for your CacheFly account, based on report type, and generate reports based on the usage, as well as print and download the information within those reports. These reports serve as a means by which you can analyze the data associated with your account.
As shown in the following illustration, simply click Statistics on the menu at the left-hand side of the Control Panel Home screen for access to these reports.
We supply you with a number of parameters with which to define the reports that you generate, as shown in the following illustration.
Report Types
CacheFly provides you with a number of different report types that will show you your account statistics when run. Your first step in generating reports should be to select a report type from the Report Type drop down, as shown in the following illustration.
The following Report Types are available:
- 95th Percentile
- Daily Summary
- Hour of Day
- Day of Week
- POP
- Country
- File Summary
- Connection Type
- ISP
- Referrer
- Referrer - by site
- 404 by file
- 404 by referrer
Please refer to the Report Type Examples article for details on working with the different Report Types.
Sorting
You can sort your report results by selecting either None, or Results by Page, from the Sort by drop down, as shown in the following illustration.
Note: the options available here will change based on the report type you select. For example, if you generate a 404 by file Report, you will only see a Hits option for sorting, whereas when you generate a Connection Report, you will have sorting options of both Hits and Gigs.
Results per Page
You can indicate the number of results that are returned on a generated report by making a selection from the Results per page drop down, as shown in the following illustration. Available options are 25, 50, 100, 250 and 500.
Predefined Date Ranges
You can filter the results generated from a Report you run by making a selection from the Predefined date ranges drop down, as shown in the following illustration.
To assign a date to the Start date or End date field, click within the field and select the date from the Calendar that is displayed, as shown in the following illustration.
Show Results
You can elect to have the results generated by a Report in either the Same window or in a New window by making that selection on the Show results in drop down, as shown in the following illustration.
Generating a Report
Once you have made the previously described selections, click Generate to generate the Report. As shown in the following illustration, the system begins to generate the Report.
Once the Report is generated, it will either be displayed in the same window, or in a new window, based on the selection you made above. For this example, illustrated below, we’ve chosen to have the Report displayed within the same window.
Notice that you can Download report in CSV, Save report or Download as PDF by clicking the link provided. Additionally, based on the Date Range we defined, you can move the Date slider to view the results for individual days.
Printing and Downloading Reports
Clicking the Context icon on any "Report" screen that displays it displays the "Context" drop down, which allows you to print the Chart, or download it in PNG, JPEG, PDF and/or SVC format, as shown in the following illustration. Any portion of a Report screen that displays this icon will provide you with the same options, when clicked.
